Neighbourhood and Community Development:
The Ealing Area Fund Consortium is a unique partnership involving five key area based organisations in Ealing that was established in June 2012 and is supported by the London Borough of Ealing. It builds on successful VCS area models that were initially developed by Southall Community Alliance and Acton Community Forum. These models have now been extended to include new activities and also increased area work in Ealing and Hanwell.
•Southall Community Alliance
•Acton Community Forum
•Ealing Community Resource Centre
•Ealing Community and Voluntary Service
•Greenford, Northolt and Perivale Confederation
All Consortium partners have considerable local experience of community development work and engaging and involving local residents in regeneration initiatives across Ealing.
Our key priorities 1.)Securing new resources and external funding to Ealing, thereby widening the range of activities and services on offer to Ealing residents. 2.)Enabling VCS groups to provide front line services to LBE residents - through for the capacity building support available to the organisations providing these services. 3.)Supporting vulnerable residents directly in most deprived wards of Ealing to access services. 4.)Working with LBE to mitigate impact of budget reductions by taking on public service delivery role - This is a crucial area as it could lead to large financial savings for Ealing Council and ensure more efficient delivery of services to residents. 5.Increasing resident involvement in neighbourhood based initiatives.
